It’s just the beginning.

... it's just the beginning
6th March marked a very important day in many of our lives. It signalled the release of the GCE 'A' Level Results. With these results, it set us on the next phase of our lives, where we must grow up from our immature past, where we ought to rethink our ideals and prepare ourselves for the future ahead.
Some of us may be proceeding with further education, some of us may be taking alternative forms of education, and some of us may step foot into society to contribute to its economy as a working adult. But regardless which path we're treading on, regardless where we'll be in time to come, we'll always be looking at the same sky.
Some of us attained our desired grades, and other's not as happy with the pink slip of paper. For those who are happy with your results, congratulations. For those who did not do as well, don't fret. The results didn't mark the end; it marked the beginning of our next chapter. There are countless routes to the same outcome, so make the best use of your results, and take the most appropriate of paths into the future. Whether you have decided to retake the examination, or you have decided to move out of Singapore for education, we'll all reach the same peak eventually. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
To my dear classmates, thank you for the past 2 years. It had been a rather unique experience, one that I'll probably never be able to relive again. To my fellow squashers, thank you for bearing with me when I first started the sport. I must have screwed up bigtime when I first touched the racket. To my fellow Bannister Exco members, thank you for all the laughter and joy that we shared, thank you for making our time in Exco a fruitful and fulfilling one. To my beloved clique, you've given me a reason to enjoy school life. To all my teachers (though they probably won't ever read this), thank you for spending time to nurture me, to imbue precious lessons in me. A teacher can change lives.
PS: Anyone intending to have a look at the NUS Law Open House at their Kent Ridge Campus this Sunday? It commences at 2pm. I'm not too fond of going alone..
